Gel-Tec specializes in Marathon's MARCIT^sm gel systems (Marathon Conformance Improvement Technology). This robust gel system is designed to reduce or eliminate channeling in both matrix and fractures with temperatures as high as 255° F.  The advantages of the MARCIT^sm gel are as follows:

• Gels can be mixed with most oilfield brines
  
  
• It is insensitive to hydrogen sulfide
  
  
• Can be used in a pH range of 3.3 to 12.5
  
  
• Has a controllable rate of gelation

MARA-SEAL^sm is also a Marathon technology designed for total water or gas shut-off. This gel system is comprised of a low molecular weight polymer which readily invades the reservoir matrix. Many times it can be substituted for a cement squeeze.           

UNOGEL^SM gel is primarily used for gas wells and high temperature applications that are in excess of 220° F. This organically cross-linked system was developed to provide stable gels with sufficient working time to allow their placement in hostile environments.
